When I saw a seller offering Gemini on the BPAL forums recently, I knew I had to have one. There are two versions of the scent, but the description that sold me was this. I don’t do too well with musk perfumes; they tend to be quite powdery on me after a few hours and smell all the same to me.
Food-based perfumes on the other hand, are delightful to my nose. So after reading the description I thought I should give Gemini ago. The one I received was the original one, I believe. This contains lavender, lemon, lemongrass, orange, mint and sweet pea. I’m not sure if this was a decant (which means it was taken from a bottle and subsequently put into smaller vials to be shared among others) or if this was an imp.
What I can tell you is that it’s aged. The oil is possibly 8 years old now, and upon opening I get a strong whiff of lemongrass. But this is a different kind of lemongrass. I can’t quite distinguish the other scents, but this lemongrass feels comfy. It brings back childhood memories of sitting in a corner playing by myself while grandma cooked, back in the days of innocence.
Can’t wait to try it on tomorrow!
